Martim Brion and Günther Förg
5th of February until the 5th of April 2025, in Galerie Isabelle Lesmeister, Regensburg, Germany
Painter, sculptor, and photographer Günther Förg is one of Germany’s most outstanding contemporary artists. His abstract works, characterised by geometric forms and schematic clarity, are influenced by European Modernism and American Minimal Art. They are also characterised by his love of architecture, which is particularly evident in his photographic works.
A strong interest in architecture, clarity, and geometric forms can also be found in Martim Brion’s work. Brion’s work is also a combination of different converging interests, from the use of literary references to the search for a refined, balanced form in his sculptural work. He also creates a kind of visual diary, which he reveals in his photography or focuses on in his digital works. Some points about the exhibition.
